March 7, 2022: Asheboro, NC 27203 The Asheboro Blue Comets crushed the visiting Jordan-Matthews Jets baseball team by a count of 9-1 in Monday's non-league bout.
The Blue Comets now possess a 2-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Southwestern Randolph for a non-league bout on Thursday, March 10. Asheboro will face a Cougars team coming off a 5-3 league win over Providence Grove (Franklinville, NC). The Cougars record now stands at 1-3.
Next, the Jets face the Bartlett Yancey Buccaneers (Yanceyville, NC) in a Mid-Carolina 1A/2A bout, on Tuesday, March 8. Jordan-Matthews will attempt to move on its 1-2 season record. The Buccaneers enter the bout with a 0-3 record after their 13-8 non-league loss to Reidsville (Reidsville, NC).
