South Carolina High School Soccer - Providence knocks off Columbia
March 7, 2023: Columbia, SC 29210 Providence Panthers (Lexington, SC) supporters were pleased Tuesday as they observed their soccer team triumph over the host Columbia Capitals (Columbia, SC), 9-0 in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Panthers confront the Sumter Gamecocks (Sumter, SC) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, March 9. Providence will attempt to move on its 1-4 season record. The Gamecocks enter the challenge with a 0-2 record after their 8-0 league loss to Carolina Forest (Myrtle Beach, SC).
The Capitals now possess a 0-3 record. They take the field next when they host Saluda for a non-league challenge on Monday, March 13. Columbia will confront a Tigers team coming off a 7-0 non-league loss to Clinton (Clinton, SC). The Tigers record now stands at 1-2.
