Monroe Area Purple Hurricanes (Monroe, GA) fans were pleased Tuesday as they observed their soccer team prevail over the host Franklin County Lions (Carnesville, GA), 7-3 in a league challenge.

Next, the Purple Hurricanes confront the Social Circle Redskins (Social Circle, GA) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, March 10. Monroe Area will attempt to better on its 5-2 season record. The Redskins enter the challenge with a 5-4 record after their 6-4 non-league win over Strong Rock Christian (Locust Grove, GA).

The Lions now have a 2-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Oconee County for a 3A Region 8 challenge on Tuesday, March 14.
