March 7, 2023: Metter, GA 30439 The crowd at Tuesday's non-league test between the Metter Tigers (Metter, GA) and the visiting Jefferson County Warriors (Louisville, GA), saw Metter's soccer squad triumph over Jefferson County by a margin of 5-0.
The Tigers now sport a 4-3 record. They play next when they travel to Portal for a non-league test on Tuesday, March 14. Metter will meet a Panthers squad coming off a 10-3 league win over McIntosh County Academy (Darien, GA). The Panthers record now stands at 8-0.
With the loss, Jefferson County drops to 5-2 on the season. The Warriors host East Laurens (East Dublin, GA) to meet the Falcons in a 1A D-I Area 2 test on Thursday, March 9. The Falcons come into the test with a record of 3-4. East Laurens lost 4-0 in their recent league test against Bleckley County (Cochran, GA)
