Pisgah Bears (Canton, NC) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Erwin Warriors (Asheville, NC), 9-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Bears now own a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they host Smoky Mountain for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, March 12. Pisgah will battle a Mustangs squad coming off a 16-16 non-league Franklin (Franklin, NC). The Mustangs record now stands at 0-0.

With the loss, Erwin falls to 0-1 on the campaign. The Warriors host Enka (Enka, NC) to battle the Jets in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, March 12. The Jets enter the challenge with a record of 0-0.
