The High Point Christian Academy Cougars the visiting Covenant Day Lions softball squad by a count of 6-2 in Thursday's non-league battle.

The Cougars (3-0) will now prepare for their battle against Gaston Christian (Gastonia, NC). The Eagles go into the non-league battle with a 0-3 record. In their last battle, Gaston Christian was routed by Lee Park Prep (Monroe, NC), 6-5, in a non-league battle.

The Lions now sport a 2-3 record. They play next when they travel to American Heritage for a non-league battle on Monday, March 11. Covenant Day will meet a Patriots squad coming off a 5-4 non-league loss to Archbishop McCarthy (Fort Lauderdale, FL). The Patriots record now stands at 4-3.
