The Irving Tigers baseball squad (Irving, TX), was edged 6-5 in Friday's non-league contest with the host Lancaster Tigers (Lancaster, TX)

With the triumph, Lancaster moves its record to 7-2 on the season. The Tigers travel to Poteet (Mesquite, TX) to confront the Pirates in a non-league contest on Saturday, March 8. The Pirates come into the contest with a record of 3-7.

The Tigers now possess a 3-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Dallas Jesuit for a 6A Region I District 7 contest on Tuesday, March 11.
