Texas High School Baseball - Union Grove wallops Rivercrest
March 7, 2025: Bogata, TX 75417 The Union Grove Lions (Gladewater, TX) baseball trounced the host Rivercrest Rebels (Bogata, TX), 18-2 in Friday's non-league challenge.
The Lions now own a 2-4 record. They take the field next when they host Beckville for a 2A Region III District 19 challenge on Tuesday, March 11. Union Grove will clash with a Bearcats team coming off a 6-2 non-league win over Gary (Gary, TX). The Bearcats record now stands at 6-2.
With the defeat, Rivercrest drops to 4-3 on the year. The Rebels travel to McLeod (McLeod, TX) to clash with the Longhorns in a 2A Region III District 17 challenge on Friday, March 14. The Longhorns go into the challenge with a record of 0-1. McLeod lost 13-7 in their recent non-league challenge against New Boston (New Boston, TX)
