March 7, 2025: Monroe, GA 30656 Oconee County Warriors (Watkinsville, GA) backers exited the stadium pleased Friday as they witnessed their soccer team knock off the host Monroe Area Purple Hurricanes (Monroe, GA), 2-0 in a league test.
With the triumph, Oconee County advances its record to 5-3 on the campaign. The Warriors host West Hall (Oakwood, GA) to clash with the Spartans in a 3A Area 8 test on Tuesday, March 11. The Spartans come into the test with a record of 3-3. West Hall won 4-1 in their recent league test against East Hall (Gainesville, GA)
The Purple Hurricanes now have a 6-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Salem for a non-league test on Tuesday, March 11. Monroe Area will clash with a Seminoles team coming off a 6-1 league win over Columbia (Decatur, GA). The Seminoles record now stands at 3-3.
