Georgia High School Baseball - Model defeats Murray County
March 7, 2026: Rome, GA 30161 The Model Blue Devils baseball team scored 13 runs and held the visiting Murray County Indians to 5 in the Blue Devils non-league win on Saturday.
The Blue Devils now own a 5-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to Temple for a A D1 Region 6 test on Tuesday, March 10. Model will play a Tigers team coming off a 17-2 league loss to Heard County (Franklin, GA). The Tigers record now stands at 1-9.
With the defeat, Murray County drops to 8-4 on the season. The Indians host Ringgold (Ringgold, GA) to battle the Tigers in a AA Region 7 outing on Tuesday, March 10. The Tigers come into the outing with a record of 5-8. Ringgold won 6-1 in their recent non-league outing against Ooltewah (Ooltewah, TN)
