In Saturday's non-league match, the host Crest Chargers softball team scored a nice 14-2 win over the Franklin Panthers.

The Chargers (5-1) will now prepare for their match against Ashbrook (Gastonia, NC). The Greenwave come into the Big South 5A/6A match with a 2-1 record. In their last match, Ashbrook notched a victory over Statesville (Statesville, NC), 23-11, in a non-league match.

In their next game, the Panthers battle the Enka Jets (Enka, NC) in a non-league game, on Monday, March 16. Franklin will attempt to improve on its 3-2 season record.
