Buckeye Hawks (Buckeye, AZ) fans exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they observed their baseball squad hold off the visiting Desert Edge Scorpions (Goodyear, AZ), 9-8 in a non-league test.

With the win, Buckeye upgrades its record to 3-2 on the season. The Hawks travel to Sahuarita (Sahuarita, AZ) to battle the Mustangs in a non-league test on Monday, March 14. The Mustangs come into the test with a record of 7-2.

With the defeat, Desert Edge falls to 1-4 on the season. The Scorpions travel to Dysart (El Mirage, AZ) to battle the Demons in a non-league test on Thursday, March 10. The Demons come into the test with a record of 2-3. Dysart won 26-1 in their recent non-league test against Cortez (Phoenix, AZ)
