Pollok Central Bulldogs (Pollok, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Rusk Eagles (Rusk, TX), 11-9 in a non-league challenge.

The Bulldogs now own a 5-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Hudson for a non-league challenge on Friday, March 11. Pollok Central will face a Hornets squad coming off a 4-0 non-league loss to Port Neches-Groves (Port Neches, TX). The Hornets record now stands at 10-6.

With the loss, Rusk falls to 10-7 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Lufkin (Lufkin, TX) to clash with the Panthers in a non-league game on Friday, March 11. The Panthers come into the game with a record of 9-5. Lufkin won 16-5 in their recent non-league game against Central Heights (Nacogdoches, TX)
