In Friday's non-league challenge, the Currituck County Knights (Barco, NC) baseball squad edged the host Nansemond-Suffolk Academy Saints (Suffolk, VA), by a final score of 5-4.

With the win, Currituck County upgrades its record to 2-0 on the season. The Knights travel to Hertford County (Ahoskie, NC) to encounter the Bears in a Northeastern Coastal 2A/3A challenge on Tuesday, March 12. The Bears come into the challenge with a record of 0-3. Hertford County lost 16-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Perquimans (Hertford, NC)

With the defeat, Nansemond-Suffolk Academy falls to 0-1 on the season. The Saints travel to Hickory (Chesapeake, VA) to encounter the Hawks in a Southeastern challenge on Tuesday, March 12. The Hawks come into the challenge with a record of 0-0.
