California High School Lacrosse - San Marcos held off by St. John's
March 8, 2024: San Marcos, CA 92069 St. John's Mavericks (Houston, TX) boosters exited the stadium content Friday as they witnessed their lacrosse squad nip the host San Marcos Knights (San Marcos, CA), 12-11 in a non-league battle.
The Mavericks now own a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Torrey Pines for a non-league battle on Monday, March 11. St. John's will clash with a Falcons squad coming off a 13-12 non-league win over Foothill (Santa Ana, CA). The Falcons record now stands at 3-0.
In their next game, the Knights clash with the Coronado Islanders (Coronado, CA) in a non-league battle, on Tuesday, March 12. San Marcos will attempt to advance on its 2-1 season record. The Islanders come into the battle with a 1-0 record after their 22-9 non-league win over Del Norte (San Diego, CA).
