North DeSoto Griffins (Stonewall, LA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting East Ascension Spartans (Gonzales, LA), 10-3 in a non-league challenge.

The Griffins now own a 15-0 record. They take the field next when they host Archbishop Chapelle for a non-league challenge on Saturday, March 9. North DeSoto will battle a Chipmunks squad coming off a 1-0 non-league win over Dutchtown (Geismar, LA). The Chipmunks record now stands at 10-3.

With the loss, East Ascension falls to 9-7 on the campaign. The Spartans travel to Caldwell Parish (Columbia, LA) to battle the Spartans in a non-league challenge on Saturday, March 9. The Spartans enter the challenge with a record of 8-4. Caldwell Parish lost 11-9 in their recent non-league challenge against Walker (Walker, LA)
