Grandview Zebras (Grandview, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Salado Eagles (Salado, TX), 2-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Zebras now own a 6-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Clifton for a 3A Region III District 17 challenge on Thursday, March 14.

With the loss, Salado falls to 17-1 on the campaign. The Eagles host Jarrell (Jarrell, TX) to face the Cougars in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, March 13. The Cougars enter the challenge with a record of 14-6. Jarrell won 15-1 in their recent non-league challenge against Taylor (Taylor, TX)
