In Saturday's non-league game, the host Dripping Springs Tigers baseball team scored a close 6-5 win over the Sinton Pirates.

The Tigers (9-5) will now prepare for their game against Akins (Austin, TX). The Eagles go into the 6A Region IV District 26 game with a 3-8 record. In their last game, Akins nudged Gonzales (Gonzales, TX), 15-1, in a non-league game.
