In Saturday's non-league game, the host Fort Mill Yellow Jackets baseball team scored a close 5-3 victory over the Gray Collegiate Academy War Eagles.

The Yellow Jackets (3-0) will now prepare for their game against Catawba Ridge (Fort Mill, SC). The Copperheads enter the 5A Region 3 game with a 1-0 record. In their last game, Catawba Ridge held off St. James (Murrells Inlet, SC), 3-1, in a non-league game.

Next, the War Eagles face the Midland Valley Mustangs (Graniteville, SC) in a 4A Region 4 game, on Monday, March 10. Gray Collegiate Academy will attempt to improve on its 1-2 season record. The Mustangs enter the game with a 2-1 record after their 13-0 non-league win over Pelion (Pelion, SC).
