The Fredericksburg Billies baseball team scored 9 runs and held the host Jarrell Cougars to 2 in the Billies non-league win on Saturday.

The Billies now hold a 12-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Judson for a non-league test on Tuesday, March 11. Fredericksburg will play a Rockets team coming off a 13-0 non-league loss to Victoria East (Victoria, TX). The Rockets record now stands at 2-12.

With the defeat, Jarrell drops to 1-7 on the year. The Cougars travel to Salado (Salado, TX) to play the Eagles in a 4A Region III District 22 test on Tuesday, March 11. The Eagles go into the test with a record of 5-5. Salado won 3-2 in their recent non-league test against Tuloso-Midway (Corpus Christi, TX)
