The New Castle Hurricanes basketball squad (New Castle, PA), was nudged 51-49 in Saturday's non-league battle with the visiting Cumberland Valley Eagles (Mechanicsburg, PA)

With the victory, Cumberland Valley advances its record to 24-5 on the year. The Eagles travel to Coatesville (Coatesville, PA) to meet the Red Raiders in a non-league battle on Wednesday, March 12. The Red Raiders enter the battle with a record of 23-4. Coatesville won 63-44 in their recent non-league battle against William Allen (Allentown, PA)

The Hurricanes now own a 21-5 record.
