March 9, 2021: Fitzgerald, GA 31750 The Fitzgerald Purple Hurricane baseball team (Fitzgerald, GA), was overwhelmed 10-6 in Tuesday's non-league outing with the visiting West Laurens Raiders (Dexter, GA)
The Raiders now hold a 7-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Spalding for a AAAA Region 4 outing on Monday, March 15. West Laurens will confront a Jaguars team coming off a 17-2 league win over Rutland (Macon, GA). The Jaguars record now stands at 3-5.
Next, the Purple Hurricane confront the Americus-Sumter Panthers (Americus, GA) in a non-league outing, on Wednesday, March 10. Fitzgerald will attempt to advance on its 2-4 season record. The Panthers go into the outing with a 0-7 record after their 17-2 league loss to Crisp County (Cordele, GA).
