In Wednesday's non-league challenge, the Artesia Pioneers (Lakewood, CA) baseball squad triumphed over the visiting Bolsa Grande Matadors (Garden Grove, CA), by a final score of 9-1.

With the win, Artesia upgrades its record to 5-5 on the season. The Pioneers host Fairmont Prep (Anaheim, CA) to battle the Huskies in a non-league challenge on Saturday, March 12. The Huskies come into the challenge with a record of 1-7.

With the defeat, Bolsa Grande drops to 5-7 on the campaign. The Matadors travel to La Quinta (Westminster, CA) to face the Aztecs in a Garden Grove bout on Friday, March 11. The Aztecs enter the bout with a record of 3-6. La Quinta won 4-2 in their recent league bout against Rancho Alamitos (Garden Grove, CA)
