Florida High School Softball - Clearwater nudges Sunlake
March 9, 2022: Clearwater, FL 33764 Clearwater Tornadoes (Clearwater, FL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Sunlake Seahawks (Land O' Lakes, FL), 8-7 in a non-league challenge.
The Tornadoes now own a 5-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Countryside for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, March 22. Clearwater will battle a Cougars squad coming off a 2-1 non-league win over St. Petersburg (St. Petersburg, FL). The Cougars record now stands at 2-5.
With the loss, Sunlake falls to 3-4 on the campaign. The Seahawks host Sumner (Riverview, FL) to battle the Stingrays in a non-league challenge on Friday, March 11. The Stingrays enter the challenge with a record of 6-0. Sumner won 13-8 in their recent non-league challenge against Tampa Bay Tech (Tampa, FL)
