March 9, 2023: Los Angeles, CA 90011 The crowd at Thursday's non-league match between the Dr. Maya Angelou Community Phoenix (Los Angeles, CA) and the visiting Dymally Challengers (Los Angeles, CA), saw Dr. Maya Angelou Community's softball squad nip Dymally by a count of 20-18.
The Phoenix now sport a 2-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Los Angeles for a Exposition match on Tuesday, March 14.
With the loss, Dymally falls to 0-3 on the campaign. The Challengers travel to Gardena (Gardena, CA) to face the Panthers in a non-league match on Wednesday, March 15. The Panthers enter the match with a record of 1-0.
