Kern Valley Broncs (Lake Isabella, CA) fans exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the visiting McFarland Cougars (McFarland, CA), 17-7 in a non-league challenge.

The Broncs now sport a 2-0 record. They take the field next when they host Trona for a non-league challenge on Friday, March 10. Kern Valley will face a Tornadoes squad coming off a 28-13 non-league loss to Frazier Mountain (Lebec, CA). The Tornadoes record now stands at 0-4.

With the loss, McFarland falls to 4-3 on the campaign. The Cougars host Wasco (Wasco, CA) to face the Tigers in a South Sequoia challenge on Wednesday, March 22. The Tigers enter the challenge with a record of 3-3.
