The Polk County Wolverines (Columbus, NC) softball routed the visiting North Henderson Knights (Hendersonville, NC), 12-1 in Thursday's non-league bout.

The Wolverines (3-2) will now prepare for their bout against Chase (Forest City, NC). The Trojans go into the Mountain Foothills Seven 2A bout with a 1-1 record.

The Knights now possess a 1-2 record. They play next when they travel to Asheville for a non-league bout on Friday, March 10. North Henderson will confront a Cougars squad coming off a 11-7 non-league loss to Cherokee (Cherokee, NC). The Cougars record now stands at 0-4.
