Alabama High School Softball - Sumiton Christian bounces Marion County
March 9, 2024: Guin, AL 35563 Spectators at Saturday's non-league match between the Sumiton Christian Eagles (Sumiton, AL) and the host Marion County Red Raiders (Guin, AL), witnessed Sumiton Christian's softball squad prevail over Marion County by a count of 15-1.
The Eagles now sport a 4-3 record. They play next when they travel to Cordova for a non-league match on Monday, March 11. Sumiton Christian will face a Blue Devils squad coming off a 15-2 league win over Fultondale (Birmingham, AL). The Blue Devils record now stands at 3-7.
With the loss, Marion County moves to 1-9 on the season. The Red raiders host Hubbertville (Fayette, AL) to face the Lions in a 1A Area 12 match on Tuesday, March 12. The Lions go into the match with a record of 1-5. Hubbertville lost 10-3 in their recent league match against Brilliant (Brilliant, AL)
