The McClatchy Lions triumphed over the host Monterey Trail Mustangs softball squad by a count of 16-1 in Monday's non-league challenge.

Coming up next, the Lions confront the Cosumnes Oaks Wolfpack (Elk Grove, CA) in a non-league battle, on Tuesday, March 10. McClatchy will attempt to move on its 4-2 season record. The Wolfpack come into the battle with a 2-1 record after their 10-9 non-league loss to Liberty Ranch (Galt, CA).

With the loss, Monterey Trail moves to 3-3 on the season. The Mustangs host Pleasant Valley (Chico, CA) to confront the Vikings in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, March 11.
