Spectators at Friday's non-league match between the Neches Tigers (Neches, TX) and the visiting Frankston Indians (Frankston, TX), witnessed Neches's softball squad tip Frankston by a count of 10-3.

The Tigers now sport a 1-0 record. They play next when they travel to Cayuga for a non-league match on Tuesday, April 5. Neches will face a Wildcats squad coming off a 12-2 league loss to Martins Mill (Ben Wheeler, TX). The Wildcats record now stands at 3-7.
