April 1, 2022: Normal, IL 61761 LaSalle-Peru Cavaliers (LaSalle, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Normal University Pioneers (Normal, IL), 6-1 in a non-league challenge.
The Cavaliers now own a 4-0 record. They take the field next when they host Sandwich for a Interstate Eight challenge on Monday, April 4. LaSalle-Peru will battle a Indians squad coming off a 10-0 non-league loss to Coal City (Coal City, IL). The Indians record now stands at 0-1.
With the loss, Normal University falls to 2-3 on the campaign. The Pioneers host Glenwood (Chatham, IL) to battle the Titans in a Central State Eight challenge on Tuesday, April 5.
