Texas High School Baseball - New Braunfels edged by Smithson Valley
April 1, 2023: Spring Branch, TX 78070 The Smithson Valley Rangers got by the visiting New Braunfels Unicorns baseball team by a count of 12-11 in Saturday's non-league bout.
The Rangers now possess a 8-3 record. They take the field next when they host Veterans Memorial for a 5A Region IV District 26 bout on Tuesday, April 4. Smithson Valley will face a Patriots team coming off a 10-2 league loss to Pieper (San Antonio, TX). The Patriots record now stands at 5-12.
Next, the Unicorns face the San Marcos Rattlers (San Marcos, TX) in a 6A Region IV District 27 bout, on Tuesday, April 4. New Braunfels will attempt to move on its 7-8 season record. The Rattlers enter the bout with a 15-8 record after their 10-0 league win over Judson (Converse, TX).
