The Elk Grove Thundering Herd beat the visiting Big Valley Christian Lions volleyball team by a final score of 2-0 in Saturday's non-league battle.

The Thundering Herd (5-10) will now prepare for their battle against Serra (San Mateo, CA). The Padres come into the non-league battle with a 8-16 record. In their last bout, Serra was outscored by Saint Francis (Mountain View, CA), 3-0, in a league bout.
