The East Ascension Spartans routed the visiting Ponchatoula Green Wave softball squad by a count of 15-6 in Saturday's non-league battle.

The Spartans (13-13) will now prepare for their battle against Live Oak (Watson, LA). The Eagles go into the non-league battle with a 24-3 record.

The Green Wave now sport a 18-11 record. They play next when they travel to Denham Springs for a non-league battle on Monday, April 3.
