April 1, 2025: Lexa, AR 72355 The Central Cougars baseball squad (West Helena, AR), was overwhelmed 30-15 in Tuesday's non-league contest with the host Barton Bears (Lexa, AR)
With the triumph, Barton moves its record to 3-3 on the season. The Bears host Palestine-Wheatley (Palestine, AR) to confront the Patriots in a 2A Region 6 contest on Friday, April 4. The Patriots come into the contest with a record of 8-6.
The Cougars now possess a 0-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Rison for a 3A Region 8 contest on Friday, April 4. Central will confront a Wildcats squad coming off a 14-1 league win over Dumas (Dumas, AR). The Wildcats record now stands at 8-3.
