Hernando Leopards (Brooksville, FL) supporters left the game thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Central Bears (Brooksville, FL), 8-7 in a non-league game.

With the triumph, Hernando improves its record to 9-5 on the year. The Leopards host South Sumter (Bushnell, FL) to face the Raiders in a non-league game on Thursday, April 3. The Raiders enter the game with a record of 11-6. South Sumter won 10-6 in their recent non-league game against Lake Weir (Ocala, FL)

The Bears now hold a 2-11 record. They play next when they travel to Pasco for a 4A District 9 game on Wednesday, April 2. Central will face a Pirates squad coming off a 5-0 non-league win over South Lake (Groveland, FL). The Pirates record now stands at 3-8.
