The Gilmour Academy Lancers softball team scored 9 runs and held the visiting Solon Comets to 5 in the Lancers non-league win on Tuesday.

The Lancers now sport a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Magnificat for a non-league battle on Wednesday, April 2. Gilmour Academy will confront a Blue Streaks team coming off a 24-0 non-league loss to Archbishop Hoban (Akron, OH). The Blue Streaks record now stands at 2-4.

With the loss, Solon moves to 0-1 on the season. The Comets travel to Twinsburg (Twinsburg, OH) to confront the Tigers in a Suburban - National battle on Wednesday, April 2.
