The Franklin Wildcats routed the visiting South Laurel Cardinals softball team by a margin of 8-2 in Wednesday's non-league battle.

The Wildcats now sport a 4-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Fort Walton Beach for a non-league battle on Friday, April 3. Franklin will encounter a Vikings team coming off a 4-2 non-league loss to Springboro (Springboro, OH). The Vikings record now stands at 3-11.

With the loss, South Laurel moves to 9-2 on the season. The Cardinals travel to Mt. Vernon (Mt. Vernon, OH) to encounter the Yellowjackets in a non-league test on Thursday, April 2.
