Connecticut High School Softball - Derby bounces Crosby
April 10, 2021: Derby, CT 06418 Spectators at Saturday's league match between the Derby Red Raiders (Derby, CT) and the visiting Crosby Bulldogs (Waterbury, CT), witnessed Derby's softball squad prevail over Crosby by a count of 14-0.
The Red Raiders now sport a 1-0 record. They play next when they travel to Kennedy for a Naugatuck Valley - Brass match on Monday, April 12. Derby will face a Eagles squad coming off a 16-0 league loss to Wolcott (Wolcott, CT). The Eagles record now stands at 0-1.
With the loss, Crosby moves to 0-1 on the season. The Bulldogs host Ansonia (Ansonia, CT) to face the Chargers in a Naugatuck Valley - Brass match on Monday, April 12. The Chargers go into the match with a record of 1-0. Ansonia won 8-7 in their recent league match against St. Paul Catholic (Bristol, CT)
