Ohio High School Softball - Johnstown-Monroe bounces Newark
April 10, 2021: Johnstown, OH 43031 Spectators at Saturday's non-league match between the Johnstown-Monroe Johnnies (Johnstown, OH) and the visiting Newark Wildcats (Newark, OH), witnessed Johnstown-Monroe's softball squad tip Newark by a count of 11-4.
The Johnnies now sport a 4-4 record. They play next when they host Northridge for a Licking County match on Monday, April 12. Johnstown-Monroe will meet a Vikings squad coming off a 7-0 league loss to Heath (Heath, OH). The Vikings record now stands at 1-3.
With the loss, Newark moves to 2-6 on the season. The Wildcats travel to Dublin Coffman (Dublin, OH) to meet the Shamrocks in a non-league match on Tuesday, April 13. The Shamrocks go into the match with a record of 1-2. Dublin Coffman won 4-3 in their recent non-league match against North Union (Richwood, OH)
