Auburn Eagles (Riner, VA) fans exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the host North Cross Raiders (Roanoke, VA), 9-0 in a non-league test.

With the win, Auburn upgrades its record to 8-1 on the season. The Eagles host Galax (Galax, VA) to battle the Maroon Tide in a Mountain Empire test on Friday, April 12. The Maroon Tide come into the test with a record of 3-4. Galax lost 15-0 in their recent non-league test against Pulaski County (Dublin, VA)

With the defeat, North Cross falls to 2-6 on the season. The Raiders travel to Blue Ridge (St. George, VA) to battle the Barons in a VISAA Virginia Independent test on Friday, April 12. The Barons come into the test with a record of 2-3. Blue Ridge won 10-0 in their recent league test against Hargrave Military Academy (Chatham, VA)
