Maryland High School Softball - Northern holds off Leonardtown
April 10, 2024: Owings, MD 20736 The crowd at Wednesday's league match between the Northern Patriots (Owings, MD) and the visiting Leonardtown Raiders (Leonardtown, MD), saw Northern's softball squad nip Leonardtown by a count of 6-4.
The Patriots now sport a 3-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to King George for a non-league match on Friday, April 12. Northern will face a Foxes squad coming off a 15-2 non-league win over Spotsylvania (Spotsylvania, VA). The Foxes record now stands at 4-1.
With the loss, Leonardtown falls to 1-1 on the campaign. The Raiders host Northern (Owings, MD) to face the Patriots in a non-league match on Monday, April 15. The Patriots enter the match with a record of 3-2. Northern lost 11-1 in their recent non-league match against King George (King George, VA)
