The Sumter Gamecocks (Sumter, SC) baseball got by the host Blythewood Bengals (Blythewood, SC), 6-5 in Thursday's league challenge.

The Gamecocks now own a 9-8 record. They take the field next when they travel to Cheraw for a non-league challenge on Monday, April 14. Sumter will clash with a Braves team coming off a 7-6 non-league win over Chesterfield (Chesterfield, SC). The Braves record now stands at 13-3.
