New York High School Softball - John Glenn held off by Harborfields
April 10, 2025: Greenlawn, NY 11740 In Thursday's non-league test, the Harborfields Tornadoes (Greenlawn, NY) softball squad got by the visiting John Glenn Knights (Elwood, NY), by a tally of 17-16.
Next, the Tornadoes clash with the Westhampton Beach Hurricanes (Westhampton Beach, NY) in a Section 11 A-5 test, on Tuesday, April 15. Harborfields will attempt to advance on its 1-2 season record. The Hurricanes go into the test with a 3-4 record after their 4-2 non-league win over Riverhead (Riverhead, NY).
The Knights (4-2) will now prepare for their test against Pierson/Bridgehampton (Sag Harbor, NY). The Whalers go into the Section 11 C/D-8 test with a 0-3 record. In their last test, Pierson/Bridgehampton was nudged by Bayport-Blue Point (Bayport, NY), 21-9, in a league test.
