Malakoff Tigers (Malakoff, TX) backers left the game pleased Friday as they saw their softball squad nudge the visiting Brook Hill Guard (Bullard, TX), 9-7 in a non-league game.

With the triumph, Malakoff upgrades its record to 18-8 on the year. The Tigers host Grand Saline (Grand Saline, TX) to play the Indians in a 3A Region II District 15 game on Tuesday, April 14. The Indians enter the game with a record of 23-8. Grand Saline won 3-2 in their recent league game against Mineola (Mineola, TX)

The Guard now own a 14-3 record. They play next when they host Bishop Dunne for a game on Monday, April 13.
