The North Newton Spartans crushed the visiting Rensselaer Central Bombers baseball team by a count of 13-2 in Monday's non-league bout.

The Spartans now possess a 3-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to South Newton for a Midwest bout on Tuesday, April 12.

Next, the Bombers face the West Central Trojans (Francesville, IN) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, April 14. Rensselaer Central will attempt to move on its 1-2 season record. The Trojans enter the bout with a 1-2 record after their 10-3 non-league loss to Winamac (Winamac, IN).
