Illinois High School Softball - Lincoln-Way East bounces Yorkville
April 11, 2022: Yorkville, IL 60560 Lincoln-Way East Griffins (Frankfort, IL) fans exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the host Yorkville Foxes (Yorkville, IL), 10-2 in a non-league challenge.
The Griffins now sport a 4-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Lincoln-Way Central for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, April 12. Lincoln-Way East will face a Knights squad coming off a 10-7 non-league loss to Lockport (Lockport, IL). The Knights record now stands at 5-2.
With the loss, Yorkville falls to 9-3 on the campaign. The Foxes travel to Plainfield North (Plainfield, IL) to face the Tigers in a Suburban Prairie - South challenge on Tuesday, April 12. The Tigers enter the challenge with a record of 2-2. Plainfield North lost 11-2 in their recent non-league challenge against Neuqua Valley (Naperville, IL)
