April 11, 2023: West Monroe, LA 71292 Spectators at Tuesday's non-league battle between the Cedar Creek Cougars (Ruston, LA) and the host West Ouachita Chiefs (West Monroe, LA), saw Cedar Creek's baseball squad knock off West Ouachita by a count of 5-1.
Coming up next, the Cougars play the Mangham Dragons (Mangham, LA) in a non-league battle, on Thursday, April 13. Cedar Creek will attempt to move on its 10-15 season record. The Dragons enter the battle with a 8-13 record after their 10-2 league win over Vidalia (Vidalia, LA).
The Chiefs now possess a 10-14 record. They take the field next when they travel to Alexandria for a 5A District 2 battle on Thursday, April 13. West Ouachita will play a Trojans squad coming off a 10-0 non-league win over Weston (Jonesboro, LA). The Trojans record now stands at 14-7.
