April 11, 2023: Portal, GA 30450 Metter Tigers (Metter, GA) fans exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they observed their baseball squad hold off the host Portal Panthers (Portal, GA), 3-2 in a non-league test.
With the win, Metter upgrades its record to 16-4 on the season. The Tigers travel to Savannah Christian (Savannah, GA) to battle the Raiders in a non-league test on Wednesday, April 12. The Raiders come into the test with a record of 18-5. Savannah Christian won 5-2 in their recent league test against Savannah Country Day (Savannah, GA)
With the defeat, Portal falls to 7-13 on the season. The Panthers host Johnson County (Wrightsville, GA) to battle the Trojans in a non-league test on Thursday, April 13. The Trojans come into the test with a record of 17-4. Johnson County won 5-2 in their recent league test against Georgia Military College (Milledgeville, GA)
