In Tuesday's non-league challenge, the New Hanover Wildcats (Wilmington, NC) baseball squad the host West Carteret Patriots (Morehead City, NC), by a final score of 6-2.

With the win, New Hanover upgrades its record to 12-3 on the season. The Wildcats travel to Person (Roxboro, NC) to encounter the Rockets in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, April 12. The Rockets come into the challenge with a record of 10-6. Person won 9-8 in their recent non-league challenge against South Brunswick (Southport, NC)

With the defeat, West Carteret falls to 8-5 on the season. The Patriots host Havelock (Havelock, NC) to encounter the Rams in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, April 12. The Rams come into the challenge with a record of 4-13. Havelock lost 5-4 in their recent non-league challenge against Croatan (Newport, NC)
